Since 1973 Michael
Dixon has been successfully combining his talents in design and wood craftsmanship
to produce his widely-admired line of solid hardwood cigar humidors.
His studio, located in Maryland, is a production
woodworking shop that contains the latest machinery and employs only state-of-the-art
techniques in design, construction and finishing.
Using the finest materials available on the world
market, his goal is to produce the highest quality humidors, maintain
a reasonable cost, and have a variety available for prompt shipment.
Michael Dixon humidors employ only state-of-the-art
techniques in their design, construction and finishing. All feature a
variety of qualities that distinguish them as pieces of fine craftsmanship.
Each will provide the owner with many years of useful service and beauty.
They
are built from the finest grade of domestic and imported hardwoods and
veneers (see catalog), where all wood joints are lock mitered to withstand
high internal moisture content over extended periods of time.
The interiors are Spanish cedar-lined and contain
dividers and trays to hold from 20 to 100 cigars. The finest brass hinges, locks and handles are used, and all are attractively recessed. Each
humidor contains a Humigar for regulating interior humidity and
a hygrometer to measure it.
Michael Dixon Humidors come in a standard semi-gloss
finish; a high-gloss polyester finish is available at extra cost.
