I had a phone call the other day from Superman. That’s right; you know the fellow from Krypton who came to save America’s butt. Well, it turns out he’s a cigar smoker! Go figure. I mean what kind of cigars would he smoke?? They can’t be your local, run-of the mill kind. Maybe they are laced with some kind of super power. Who knows, who cares, as long as he gets the job done, right?
Anyway, so he wants me to make him a humidor to hold his “special cigars”! I said “yea, I guess, as long as it is not too complicated. I’m a simple kind of guy, you know; no frills or bells and whistles for me.” I tried not to discourage him too much, but he was persistent and wanted his Superman S logo on top of the lid. I said, “Okay, but it’s going to cost you, and payment is due in advance!” I knew I was pushing it but what the heck, no pain, no gain, right?
So I made it, but haven’t shipped it yet. I’m kind of afraid he’s going to fly in to pick it up, and then what do I do? I’m not going to offer to shake his hand, that’s for sure.
So, here it is; thought you might like to take a gander before I ship it off to Metropolis.
