Model #85AThis tree from Australia is known also as Tasmanian Oak and White Mountain Ash. It is probably the largest/tallest hardwood tree in the world(Note: California Redwoods or Giant Sequoia is a softwood/coniferous tree). Eucalyptus can reach well over 300 feet tall. Recent wildfires in southern Australia, due to extreme drought, have decimated many forests of Eucalyptus trees. It is a very dense hardwood and has a pale golden yellow color. Just like Beeswing Satinwood from Ceylon/Sri Lanka it often has a fine mottled/beeswing figure which is only cut into veneers. We use it in our line of quality humidors as it has a unique small beeswing grain pattern and offers a pale golden color not seen in other woods.
