Model #80DTamo Ash is also known as Japanese Ash. It grows in the mountainous regions of Japan and is obtained only with great difficulty. Often the logs are carried and dragged out by human labor. The wood varies in color and figure. The prize figure is known as “peanut” because of the resemblance to this product. To make matters even more difficult, only half of the tree is figured, and only 10% has the peanut figure that you see on our humidors. The bottom line is that the peanut figure is very rare, difficult to obtain and expensive. So, get it while you can. It won’t last long!
